Capacitors

If there is anything I hate more than anything in Electronics is the retarded numerical labeling system for certain capacitors. You know what I’m talking about: 101,105,104,103,472,205 etc.

For the uninitiated it follows this format xxy where xx is the base number and the y plays into 10^y the final value being xx * 10^y. The units are picofarads or pf. So if I have a 105 thats 10*10^5 picofarads or 10000000000 picofarads.

This doesn’t help me much when all I know is that I need a 1uF (microfarad) cap.
