You might remember back in September when I thought I had lost my toolbox
Well two weeks ago I was given the opportunity to take a night session in a class (ECET 480) watching two presentations (on Professional Engineering licensing and Entrepreneurship) and watch a movie called “Class Action“http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0101590/.
Anyways, I had been on campus since about 7:30 (I had a lab). Because I had a lab, I brought my toolbox to campus with me. Since we were soldering some stuff I also packed my nice soldering iron and went to lab.
Of course after lab I carried it around all day. Since my ECET 480 thing was at 6:20pm I just went to the Union after I got off work at 5:00pm and got a slice of pizza and did some things online.
I went to the show, sat through 3.5hours of stuff and at the end of it all I was ready to bust out of there. It should be noted that this was on Wednesday, October 29.
On Nov 3 I needed to go to my 307 lab. That morning I ran around looking for my box and I couldn’t find it! I spent most of the day thinking about where I might have left it and I finally decided that I had to have left it in that room (where we had the 480 stuff).
First I went to the ECET main office and asked if anyone had returned the box, no dice. So then I sent an email to the professor that taught the first class on thursday (hoping that maybe a student in that class had found it and given it to him), no dice.
Finally on Wednesday (1 week after I lost the box), I left a message on the chalkboard in that particular room that my box had been lost along with my email address and phone number. This was in hopes that anyone who might know anything on thursday would see the note and get a hold of me.
Finally on friday I got an email from a ECET professor that a professor who had a 12:30pm class in that room had had the box and gave it to him. He had then turned it over to the ECET office! Woohoo!
So anyways, moral of the story is: DONT LOSE YOUR TOOL BOX and MAKE SURE YOUR BOX HAS YOUR NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION ON IT :D
