Cool new chairs

Yesterday we went to World Market in Fairfield, OH (a suburb of Cincinnati) to find some chairs! Wouldn’t you know it? We finally found some chairs we liked! They’re really cool and we think they match up with the style of the table(s) really well.

[

Before picking these chairs we saw a lot of other ones that we might’ve liked. I took some picture of the candidates with my phone:

This was the first chair we wanted to get, but they only had one of them in the store:

[

We also looked at these, but they were a bit too plain and while the type of wood matched that of the bookcase and couch, we just weren’t “feeling” these chairs:

[

We kinda liked this one, but it was really cheap and seemed wobbly:

[

We finally settled on the chair below. This chair is really awesome, it matches the criss-cross pattern of the table and the wood color is dark enough to match up OK with the dark color of the tables. They also have suede cushions which is really nice :D

We also bought some other ancillary things while we were there.

A potsticker press (we love making potstickers!):

and some cool cups:

Jacqui also saw this cool elephant table/chest thing she really liked, but it was already spoken for:

[

We bought our chairs and stuff and on the way out we (Jacqui) realized that the total amount we paid was a bit higher than we’d thought it’d be. After examining the ticket we found out that they’d charged us regular price for the chairs when we’d bought them because they were supposed to be 30% off! We were already well on our way to CompUSA so we decided we’d pop back in after we’d looked around in there.

While in CompUSA I bought a 120GB drive as all my other disk space was becoming increasingly full (I refuse to delete my complete collection of Enterprise episodes and my DS9 and Voyager DVD rips!). While there we saw something really horrible and goofy:

[

We then went back to World Market and got them to give us our $64 back and promply went to a Big Boy to eat lunch:

It was a good ending to a fun day! Here’s a link to the camera pics gallery from yesterday
