Well, I knew that our space program was the best in the world, but I had no idea we’d been able to advance so quickly so fast!! CNN reported the other day that the Space Shuttle Columbia broke up while traveling 18 times the speed of light :o
I guess I’m out of the loop. And to think, these past few months I’ve been watching Star Trek:TNG episodes, guffawing at our primitive space program in comparison to Picard, Riker, et al.
18 times the speed of light puts us at squarely between warp 2 and 3. Quite respectible if you ask me :D
