What I normally eat in a day


Breakfast (9:00am)

  • 1.0 cup Cheerios (Honey nut or Multigrain)
  • 0.5 cup Vanilla soy milk
  • 0.5 cup Orange juice
  • 2.0 eggs, fried (only on running days)
  • 1.0 big cup of tea

Mid morning (10:45-11:00am)

  • 1.0 Banana
  • 29.0 grams (1 serving) of wheat thins

Lunch (12:00pm)

  • 6.0-8.0 ounces of Chicken
  • 3.0-4.0 ounces of vegetables

(both are just put on a baking tray and cooked in the over for 20mins)

Mid afternoon (3:30pm)

  • 1.0 Banana
  • 29.0 grams (1 serving) of wheat thins

Dinner (6:30pm)

Varies widely but generally something with about 400-500 calories.

Most days I also drink about 2L of water throughout the day. Probably closer to 3L on days I run. Some days I might have an extra big cup of tea in the morning.

On the weekend it’s more of a free-for-all. Jacqui and I typically go out with friends on either Friday or Saturday night (or both) and eat whatever looks good. Breakfast and lunch are generally the same, but I don’t count calories at all on the weekend.

For example: last weekend on Friday we went to Bluebird and ate chicken wings, frites, and cream cheese toasts, and I drank a 750ml bottle of belgium beer, then we went to a club with Lee and I had a PBR or two. On Saturday we went to Shaw’s and I had a few manhattans, a lobster roll, fries, and about 6 oysters. But we also ran on Saturday too, so… ;)
