I haven’t bought new shoes in probably a year and a half now and my favorite pairs were basically starting to disintegrate. So I bought a pair from Zappos. I really love Frye shoes (I own two pairs of Frye boots) so I thought I’d try out a pair of full-grain leather shoes from them. I got a pair that more or less looked like my old pair of shoes, just a slightly darker color.
Now, since I work from home I don’t get to work out my shoes too much, but I used them a bunch this past weekend biking and walking a bunch and they’ve been great. Slowly getting them worked in. I think they’ll be great Chicago Winter shoes ;)
